Taebaek Geumdaebong Peak (1,418m above sea level) and Daedeoksan Mountain (1,307m above sea level) are called ‘heavenly flower gardens’. This is because you can meet wild flowers that bloom beautifully from spring to fall. Widow windflowers as white as snow are located in some places under the shade of trees, and yellow blooms form colonies on the ridges. The beautiful figure of the purple sunfish swaying in the wind is also not to be missed. It is easy to start from the Dumundongjae Visitor Center, where the trail continues downhill to Geumdaebong Peak, with the Dumundongjae Visitor Center and the Sesim Visitor Center as the apex. The trail from Dumundongjae Visitor Support Center to Bunjuryeong and Sesim Visitor Support Center to Geomryongso Parking Lot is 6.7km long, and if you add the Daedeoksan Course, it will increase by about 2.6km. The Geumdaebong trail is open every year from the third Friday of April to September 30, and 300 people per day (10 people per person can make a reservation) are allowed to enter through online reservation. Access hours during the tour are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Self-drivers must go back down from Bunjuryeong or take a call taxi from the Geomryongso parking lot to return to the Dumundongjae Visitor Support Center. Large buses use the Geomryongso Parking Lot near the Meticulous Visitor Support Center, which has plenty of parking space.
