Yangpyeong is famous for its clear water in Korea. Even there, Sumi Village is famous for its 365-day festival. It won the Presidential Award at the 2013 Korea Rural Village Awards and was introduced more than 100 times in various media outlets.
In order to publicize the clear water of Yangpyeong and the excellence of strawberries and trout in Sumi Village, a Mecca for rural tourism, the ‘Yangpyeong Strawberry Trout Festival’ was planned in spring, and it aims to develop into a festival representing Korea.
