First of all, the 2024 World Music Box Festival, which will be held for the first time in Petite France this year, will showcase over 150 types of music boxes that are a specialty of Petite France and are difficult to find in Korea, along with the renewal of the Music Box House in March. A “World Music Box Demonstration & Explanation” that transports you back to 19th century Europe with the various bells and harmonious sounds of metal cylinders from Europe-centered world music boxes is also held on site every day.
And this “European Fairyland Festival,” held in an Italian village, welcomes the start of the school season in March and offers visitors families with school children a puppet show such as a marionette performance and various fairyland photo zones and exhibitions featuring the main characters from the fairy tale books they read as children. It will be presented through experience. In particular, the indoor puppet show “The Adventures of Pinocchio,” which will be held starting in March, is based on the original story written by Italian fairy tale writer Carlo Collodi in 1833. Pinocchio, a wooden doll brought to life by the earnest wish of grandfather Geppetto, a carpenter, is an evil fox and a trickster. This is a performance piece that reinterprets the story of an eventful adventure against a magician who turns children into donkeys and a cruel circus leader into an educational and entertaining marionette puppet show.
