Located on Daebu Island in Ansan, which was selected as the ‘2019 Tourist City of the Year’, Jonghyeon Fishing Village Experience Village is equipped with a summer playground called mudflats and swimming pools. You can experience the tidal flats of the west coast with your body and enjoy playing in the water at the seaside swimming pool, killing two birds with one stone. The representative experience program of Jonghyeon Fishing Village is to dig mudflat clams while examining various mudflat creatures. Even beginners can easily collect clams if they listen to the explanation properly, and you can take clams home. In summer (end of June to end of September), an outdoor swimming pool is operated in front of the tidal flat. It is not large, but it is good for children to enjoy playing in the water for a while. If you want to experience tidal flats, you need to check the tide level before visiting, and boots and hoes can be rented on site (for a fee). If you walk from Jonghyeon Fishing Village Experience Village, Gubongdo Sunset Observatory, which takes about an hour round trip, is one of the 9 scenic spots in Ansan, so don’t miss it.
