Hantaek Botanical Garden in Baegam-myeon, Yongin is a treasure trove of plant genetic resources. A total of 9,700 species and 10 million specimens were planted in the botanical garden of about 66.1 ha, and there are about 2,400 species of native plants alone. Hantaek Botanical Garden is an out-of-habitat conservation institution designated by the Ministry of Environment. As you walk along the labyrinth-like trail, small flowers shyly open their bodies to welcome strangers. The Botanical Garden consists of 36 themed gardens, among which you can meet various wild flowers in various places, including the Natural Ecology Garden, which is the heart of the Botanical Garden. Roe deer urine, cicada flower, and valley leaf day lily are typical plants that bloom in July. In addition to exhibitions, Hantaek Botanical Garden has been working hard to protect and reproduce plant species, and is also conducting various family ecotourism experience programs with themes of carnivorous plants and aquatic plants.
