So close, so wonderful mountains and sea, Muuido Horyonggoksan Mountain

Let’s plan an island trip to see the open sea while walking on a mountain path with family, friends, and lovers, as well as a time of resolutions and hopes to welcome the new year after the old year. Close to the metropolitan area, convenient public transportation, clean accommodations, and delicious food, Muuido Island is the perfect place for a New Year’s first trip. From Yeongjong Island, where Incheon International Airport is located, go along the coastal road to the Jamjin Island dock and take a boat to reach it in 10 minutes. In the middle of the island, the beautiful Horyonggoksan Mountain and Guksabong Peak, called the ‘Alps of the West Sea’, rise overlooking the sea with silvery waves. If you walk for about 40 to 50 minutes to reach the top of Horyonggok Mountain, you can see Jawoldo, Yeongheungdo, and Seungbongdo, as well as Incheon Bridge and Songdo International New City. Hanagae Beach, with its white sandy beaches, is perfect for enjoying the romance of the winter sea, and on Somuuido Island, connected by a footbridge, there is a beach promenade called Muui Sea Nuri-gil, where you can enjoy trekking while looking at the sea.
