A night in a hanok with a river and a lake is much more elegant. In autumn, when you open your eyes in the morning, a thick mist of water rises and a refreshing energy settles on the old tiles. Farm Cottage, a hanok accommodation located in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, is located on the border between Hongcheon River and Cheongpyeong Lake. This hanok is a 200-year-old house in Pungnaptoseong, Jamsil, which was moved and restored in the 1980s. In addition to the overland road to the hanok, you can use the Cheongpyeong Lake cruise ship to reach the marina in front of the yard. The two hanoks are divided into Seongchunje and Cheonrije and consist of 10 rooms. If Seongchunje boasts a more complete appearance of a hanok, Cheonrije adds convenience by equipping it with modern facilities such as a fireplace. The warm warmth of the hanok is further ripened through the Cheongpyeong 5-day Market and Summer Palace, a themed garden in Gapyeong-eup. Homyeong Lake and the fantastic drive road are also impressive in late autumn.
