April is a good time for flower viewing. In Samcheok, spring adds to the Romantic Road. In particular, the Canola Flower Festival is held from April 8 to 17 in Maengbang Rape Flower Village. When it comes to canola flowers, it is easy to think of Jeju Island or Cheongsan Island, but Maengbang Canola Flower Village is a springtime destination where you can see canola flowers, cherry blossoms, and the sea. It departs from downtown Samcheok and passes through Hanti Pass to arrive at another. First of all, the cherry blossom road, which runs for about 4.2 km along the road, greets you. To the left of the cherry blossom road, a 7.2ha rapeseed field spreads out like a yellow sea. You can freely walk on the promenade between the flower fields and take pictures. Even after the festival, the festival grounds will be open until April 30th. Spring delicacies are also a pleasure of traveling to Samcheok. You can taste cool gomchi soup in the morning, steamed fish stew for lunch, and snow crab that passes the last month of the season in the evening.
