Puppy Forest, a dog theme park that opened in April 2021, is a popular travel destination for dogs. It has an outdoor playground where dogs can run freely, a museum, a walking trail, a dog-friendly cafe, a dog goods store, and a dog bath. Outdoor playgrounds such as hills and playgrounds are spaces where you can take off your leash, and separate entry days for large dogs (more than 10kg) and small/medium dogs (less than 10kg) to prevent accidents (schedules are announced on the website every month). The museum exhibits about the companionship of humans and dogs, which is worth seeing even for those who do not own dogs. Due to its spatial characteristics, the museum building restricts access to dogs, and operates a dog waiting room. On the promenade, there is a corner where you can smell the body of various animals to help your dog’s olfactory activity, and the cafe sells drinks exclusively for dogs. Puppy Forest is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (scheduled to open at night in summer, closed on Mondays), and the admission fee is 17,000 won for adults, 15,000 won for teenagers, 12,000 won for children, and 8,000 won for dogs. Let’s visit Gangchon Rail Park Gyeonggang Rail Bike and Nami Island. Gyeonggang Rail Bike offers pet bikes equipped with seats for dogs, while Nami Island operates Two Together Park, a playground for dogs, and restaurants, cafes, and accommodations that allow dogs. The closed Kim Yu-jeong Station, which has cute attractions, is also good for a walk with a dog.
