The National Hangeul Museum, which opened on October 9 last year, is a place where you can meet everything about Hangeul. It is equipped with an exhibition hall, a Korean language playground, a souvenir shop, and a cafe, and also operates a commentary program for visitors. Materials and exhibits related to Hangeul are interestingly decorated, and you can meet works that newly interpret King Sejong’s achievements as modern art. A Hangeul playground for children and a Hangeul learning center for foreigners were also prepared. The neighboring National Museum of Korea is Korea’s representative museum, and it is a place where the history, culture, and life of the Korean Peninsula are compiled. Itaewon, close to the museum, is an area where many cultures converge, and Seoul Central Mosque, the first mosque in Korea, is worth a visit. Another course that is good to combine with a museum outing is the Seoul Museum of Art. The exhibition 〈Africa Now: Political Patterns〉, which breaks the previous image of Africa, continues until mid-February.
