The royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty have a history spanning 500 years of the Joseon Dynasty. It is a noble cultural heritage listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it has been preserved intact without being damaged or destroyed to the extent that it is difficult to find a precedent in the world. Guri Donggureung (Historic Site No. 193) has the largest collection of nine tombs among the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. The surrounding forest is dense and the natural ecology is well preserved, making it a perfect place for a walk or rest.
