Taebaek Cheoram was a prosperous town until the government launched a coal industry rationalization policy in 1989, and it is said that the population at one time reached 50,000. Cheoram Station is a place where you can guess what Cheoram looked like at the time. A four-story building stood tall, as if to speak of the days when it prospered with coal. Cheoram Station is more famous than the history of Cheoram Station, and the coal line next to it is famous. The scenery of the village located across from the factory is also unique. The two- or three-story building, which is about to collapse, remains as it was at the time. Now, it has been renovated into Cheoram Coal Mine History Village and is used as a museum and exhibition hall. Taebaek is also a good winter family vacation destination.
