For travelers visiting Daegu, the Daegu Urban Railway (abbreviated as Daegu Subway) provides a convenient footing. Subway Line 1 (25.9km, 30 stations) connects Ansim Station to Daegok Station, and Subway Line 2 connects Yeungnam University Station to Munyang Station (31.4km, 29 stations). The two lines intersect at Banwoldang Station in the center of the city. Line 3 (Dongho-dong to Beommul-dong) is a monorail and is scheduled to open in the first half of 2014.
