This is a diverse event with tomato-themed experience, exhibition, and performance programs, as well as sales of agricultural specialties such as Hwacheon tomatoes.
There are about 30 unique programs themed on Hwacheon tomatoes, and representative programs include “Find the Golden Ring,” where you find a gold ring inside a tomato; “A Thousand People’s Table,” where you can make and taste 1,000 tomato dishes; a cool water park to prepare for the heat wave; a heat shelter; and an ice footbath zone. Stage performances include the eve of the festival declaration ceremony and celebrity performances, fireworks, a night performance by soldiers of the Victory Unit, a water party, and surprise event performances, making this a summer festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy together.
