Yangyang is a town with three beats of travel. Deep forest roads, valleys, the sea, taste and experience are harmonized. Guryongryeong Road is leisurely and quiet, adding to the taste of autumn. Recently, Hangyeryeong or Misiryeong are mainly used, but in the past, Guryongryeong was the main passage connecting Yeongdong and Yeongseo. The winding old road contains the past life of common people. Guryongryeong Old Road is also a cultural heritage road designated as Scenic Site No. 29 by the Cultural Heritage Administration. A forest road filled with dense pine trees connects to the Baekdudaegan Mountains. The road leading to Guryongryeong along Route 56 includes Songcheon Tteok Village and Micheongol Natural Recreation Forest. You can see the deep valley of Yangyang at Beopsuchi, the upper stream of Namdaecheon, and the blue sea of Yangyang at Namaehang and Hajodae. Autumn in Yangyang is also full of festivals. The Matsutake Festival will be held until October 3, and the Salmon Festival and Salmon Barehanded Event will be held in the Namdaecheon area on October 22-23 and 29-30.
