Autumn in Hwacheon is the first to visit Haesanryeong and Bisugumi Valley. If you take Local Road No. 460 from Hwacheon-eup to Peace Dam, you can see the sea of colored leaves at the 99 bends of Haesanryeong. When you climb up the Haesan Observatory, which is the middle of the ninety-nine bends, you can see the magnificent view of Haesan (1,194m above sea level), where the sun rises first in the morning in Hwacheon, and you can see the deep blue Paro Lake through the valley. If Haesanryeong is a course for enjoying a drive and leisurely appreciating the autumn leaves, Bisugumi Valley is an attractive course that can only be encountered by walking on two feet, but responds to sweat and hard work with outstanding scenery. The sound of the water and the wind become your friend while you walk through the quiet forest path under the warm autumn sunlight. The road is downhill from the beginning to the end, so it is easy, and the wild vegetable meal for 10,000 won at the head of Bisugumi Village is also delicious. If you plan for 2 days and 1 night, on the second day, it is good to look around Tansan Mountain, Keomeokdari, Sanso 100-ri Road, and Sanyakcho Village.
