Ganghwa Dotsaejang, which is held every 2nd and 7th in the parking lot of Ganghwa Folk Flea Market, has not lost its popularity in the metropolitan area. Grandmothers who sell Ganghwa specialties such as horseradish and horseradish, as well as turnips, yellow-blooded sweet potatoes, lion-footed mugwort, Ganghwa ginseng, and Ganghwa island rice, treat customers from abroad with a friendly look. Because it is a market inside the island, seafood is also abundant. Perhaps because there are so many experiential learning tours to the extent that Ganghwa Island is called a ‘living history textbook’, family travelers with elementary school children often stand out at the market. However, it is regrettable that you can only see Wanggol handicrafts and Hwamunseok, which are specialties of Ganghwa Island, at the Hwamunseok Cultural Center in the middle of the road to the Peace Observatory. Visiting and shopping at Ganghwa Dapsae Market continues at the nearby Ganghwa Folk Flea Market. The first floor is a permanent market where clean agricultural products from Ganghwa are traded directly with consumers, and the second floor is a restaurant area.
