Mindungsan (1118.8m), located in Nam-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, is one of the best silver grass travel destinations in the country. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours from the beginning of the trail to the summit. The highlight is from the point where you pass the 7th ridge and look at the summit in the distance. A sea of silver grass spreads along the soft ridgeline, which is hard to see even a single tree. The silver grass of Bald Mountain begins to sprout in early fall, and in mid-October, it covers the wide hilly areas in white. The Mindungsan Silver Grass Festival is also held here from September 24 to November 13. It is good to plan your trip according to the Jeongseon 5-day market or the weekend market held every Saturday on the last 2nd and 7th. Taste mountain village delicacies such as buckwheat pancake, sorghum bukkumi, and potato ongshimi at the market, and travel in connection with Hwaam Cave, Auraji, and Byeongbangchi Skywalk.
