A Journey to Fill Your Heart – Along Route 6
- Local people
- Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
Most people who want to go to Gangwon-do from the metropolitan area use the Yeongdong Expressway, which connects the east and west of the Korean Peninsula. However, on holidays like Chuseok, when many people move at the same time, it is difficult to get to and from highways as well. In this case, let’s get out of the highway and use Route 6 that runs side by side. This road from Yangpyeong to Hoengseong and Pyeongchang is also a popular driving course. Just opening the window and running through the forest is refreshing as if bathing in the forest is natural. Among them, the place where you can enjoy various pleasures is the section connecting Bongpyeong-myeon and Jinbu-myeon in Pyeongchang-gun beyond Mt. Taegi. There are also various attractions such as Lee Hyo-seok’s birthplace, Pyeongchang Moui Arts Center, Moonlight Theater, Korea Botanical Garden, Woljeongsa Temple and Sangwonsa Temple. It is more enjoyable because you can taste local specialties such as Pyeongchang Korean beef, Bongpyeong buckwheat noodles, and Jinbu wild vegetables.
