If you are looking for a place to go out with your dog on holiday, pay attention to Osan Pet Theme Park. Opened in December of last year, it is the largest companion animal complex cultural space in the metropolitan area. It is equipped with a dog run (outdoor playground) and an agility zone (obstacle playground) where you can run off the leash to your heart’s content. Pet hair salons, pet swimming pools, pet hotels, kindergartens, and cafes with pets are either in operation or about to open. On Saturday afternoons (except for the last week), the Doggy World Cup, also known as the ‘Doggy Cup’, is held. Prizes are given to the winning dog. It conducts various educational programs such as dog walking and pet ticket training for children, training to foster companion dog experts, and consulting to support start-ups related to the companion animal industry. There is also an abandoned dog support center that takes care of abandoned dogs and arranges adoption so that they can meet new families. Those who wish to adopt apply for counseling and receive education. The dog run is available from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm (closed on Mondays), and the basic fee is 5,000 won (4 hours, 1 person + 1 pet). Malgeumteo Park, which is connected to the back of the theme park, has Osan Ecorium, an ecological learning experience center, a fountain square, and a children’s water playground, so children love it. Dolmen Park, a resting place and a picnic spot, is also suitable for playing with dogs. If you want to enjoy a cool view, take a look around the Doksanseong Fortress (historic site), a historic site representing Osan.
