Heonhwa-ro is the best drive course on the East Coast, stretching from Geumjin Beach in Okgye-myeon, Gangneung-si, through Simgok Port, to Jeongdongjin Port. The road and the coast meet, and the sea in front of you shows off a variety of water colors from pale jade to turquoise. The breath-taking scenery of the wreath was introduced through aerial photography in the last episode of the popular drama last year. Geumjin Beach, the starting point, has been gathering surfers for several years, and surf schools, lodgings, and cafes have been established. The section from Geumjin Beach through Geumjin Port to Simgok Port is the highlight of Heonhwa-ro. On one side, it runs alongside the dizzying coastal cliffs, and on the other side, the open indigo sea. If it is unfortunate that the distance of about 2 km is short, park your car at Geumjin Port or Simgok Port and walk. There is a path between the road and the sea, so it is easy to walk. The section from Simgok Port to Jeongdongjin Port is an inland road. If you see the sea while driving on a winding road, you are Jeongdongjin. If you make a traffic line to Haslla Art World, Deungmyeongrakgasa, Gangneung Unification Park, Gangneung Coffee Street, Yeongjin Beach, and Jumunjin Fish Market, you can enjoy a fruitful sea trip.
