Training assistant Kim Woo-chan, who has a studio in Ipam-dong, Gangneung-si, is a young artisan who walks a single life making bangjja spoons. At the age of 16, he learned to make bangja spoons from his father and continues the family business to this day. Bangjja spoon, which is made by tapping and spreading a lump of iron, is all handmade, and it takes about 40 different tools to knock and sharpen for three days to create a set of spoons. If you look at the bangjja spoon engraved with plum, lotus, and bamboo, you will be amazed at its beauty. Let’s enjoy late autumn at Gangneung, Ojukheon, Seongyojang, and Anmok Beach Coffee Street. Ojukheon, where Yulgok Yi I, a great Joseon scholar, was born, and Seongyojang, which retains the charm of traditional Korean houses, are full of autumn flavor.
