The Miryang Arirang Festival is a festival held to inherit and develop Miryang Arirang, which was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012. It started as the Miryang Cultural Festival in 1957 and has established itself as a representative local festival in Gyeongsangnam-do. The Miryang Arirang contest, Arirang experience, and various traditional cultural experiences are held. Miryang River Odyssey, the highlight of the Miryang Arirang Grand Festival, is a fantasy musical created by combining the thousands of years of history of Miryang with Miryang Arirang.
