National Road No. 37, which connects Munsan in Paju and Jeongok in Yeoncheon, is a road that defies time. From the traces of the Korean War to the remains of Joseon, Silla, Goguryeo, and prehistoric times, they are included side by side. You can enjoy time travel as if you were riding a time machine together as a family. Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site is a unique place where you can get a glimpse of the ancient mysteries and traces of prehistoric humans remaining on the Korean Peninsula. The Jeongok Prehistoric Museum also opened this spring, gaining popularity as a learning experience center for children. Across the road from the prehistoric site, there is a children’s dinosaur character park along the Hantan River. If you move towards Munsan along National Road No. 37, you enter the middle of history from the prehistoric era. Crossing the Imjin River Jangnamgyo Bridge, the tomb of King Gyeongsun of Silla and Horogoru Castle of Goguryeo are located. The Royal Tomb of King Gyeongsun is the only tomb located in Gyeonggi-do outside of Gyeongju among the royal tombs of Silla. In the nearby Beopheung-eup, the remains of Yulgok Lee I are also quietly built. After meeting the traces of history, the reality of division and the desire for unification approach Imjingak in a more mature way.
